Kristy Myers is the founder and owner of Margaret Claire’s Weddings & Events. Kristy has always had a passion for love, weddings, and celebrating the special moments in life.
Margaret Claire’s is known for their personal touch and unparalleled dedication to making every event everything each client has dreamed of, and it all starts with Kristy. Her passion can be seen through every function of the full-service wedding and event planning business she has poured her love into.
Founded in 2015, Margaret Claire’s has been an extension of all of Kristy’s love, passion, and dedication to the wedding world. Named in honor of her grandmothers, Miss Margaret Dyer and Miss Clara Wilson, this business is truly personal to Kristy. Everything she does is a reflection of her love for family, creating magical moments for others, and showing off all of the beautiful things that come with celebrating love.
Family is Kristy’s whole world and the reason behind everything she does. From naming the business in honor of her grandmothers, to including several members of her family in the business, it’s truly a personal experience from start to finish.

Margaret Claire’s wouldn’t be able to make any magic happen without ALL of our amazing staff members. We are so thankful for every soul who dedicates time to MC and works so hard to make your events the best they can be.
While you will see many of the Day of Bridal Consultants at your event and work with a lot of the office staff during the planning process, we have a huge behind the scenes crew of catering staff, setup and breakdown teams, cleaning staff, and more that make Margaret Claire’s the dream team it truly is.
Who is Margaret Claire?
Miss Margaret Dyer and Miss Clara Wilson were born in the 1920’s and grew into beautiful, sweet tea and pie-making southern belles. During the 1940’s, both Margaret and Clara became wartime brides of WWII. Because of the draft, many young couples were wed in quick, short notice courthouse weddings. The hurried marriages left many new brides wondering what it would have been like to have had a “real church wedding." Years later, Margaret and Clara became grandmothers and found themselves watching their granddaughter prepare to walk down the aisle. They presented the bride with a lovely box adorned with a white bow and a tag that read, “Today as you marry the love of your life, please wear these pearls and the matching earrings and carry us with you down the aisle we never walked.”
Those lovely ladies, Margaret and Clara, are the grandmothers of Kristy Myers, owner of Margaret Claire's Weddings & Events. From her grandmothers, Kristy learned lessons in how to be a lady, how to respect and love, how to bake fine southern cuisine, and best of all how to throw one heck of a party!
It's only fitting that the legacy of the two ladies who were never given the wedding of their dreams be realized in countless weddings to come. We celebrate with each of our Margaret Claire's couples while wearing a pearl necklace to honor the countless ladies who sacrificed their dream weddings in support of their husbands and their country.
